By observing the sweat shirt, hoody, wind-breaker and T-shirt. I think Y'all may be able to guess where this wonderful team was from :)
This group was 38 people! By observing this photo, I doubt you could have guess that. So that is why I told you, not that you were interested to begin with.
I really liked that this team took initiative in ministry. For example on our first day during the tour I was giving them, they saw some neighborhood kids playing basketball and asked me if they could join them. While they did some of the girls start befriending some other children around our place.
It just dawned on me I have never really shared with y'all about the tours I give almost every team that comes here. So yeah. Umm...  We do the "devastation tour" in the Lower 9th ward, where I share about Katrina's aftermath and we often have a time of prayer and worship. A few times we have got to minister to folks living in FEMA trailers there aswell.
I also take teams on the "French Quarter" tour; Where I give random pieces of worthless information and share with them some of the History of New Orleans, which is not only fascinating (to me anyway) But enlightening on why the city is like it is and then we have a time of prayer.
Sometimes I show them the hope house aswell, this is where I live and where the group started playing ball with some of my neighbors. The hope house was a drug rehab for several years, and though it is not running now we hope change that. Right now we are housing teams there.
The house I took them to gut was a double, but still a bit small for 39 people (are you paying attention? Yes it is 39 because I was with them... Just checking), so half of them went on a prayer walk and initiated conversations with people in the neighborhood and met some folks that needed help. So that week they painted a man's deck and helped someone else paint his house. In exchange for their service they were served some good New Orleans cooking and got to experience a little bit of the "Big Easy" culture here in the hood.
