A Wonderful Team!!!
Over 40 amazing people came from a Christian school in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
I really connected with one of their leaders who flew in early to prepare for the teams arrival. I knew he was cool
considering he had no sleep and spent a whole day traveling and yet still wanted to engage in conversation after I
opened the house for him and gave him the keys. The next day we went to SAM's and spent an afternoon
buying over $1200 worth of food. You would be surprised what a workout we got, it made us feel way out of shape!

Why the money on the shirt? It is a New Orleans birthday tradition pen money to your shirt when it is your birthday. I think I like that tradition! What amazes me is that it was not stolen. One girl on the team lost her camera, one of the kids pulled it out of her pocket and ran :( One cool thing is the girl reacted really well and continued to interact with the kids like it never happened.
One thing you can't see here is all the stations the team set up. They did a Carnival for the children and gave out so much candy that I pity their parents and the kids teeth.
