New Orleans
...Had the honor of gutting a house and cleaning up a yard for the family on the far right of the team photo. Faye's (the home owner, in the black shirt and yellow shorts) sister was killed by the hurricane and after the storm her husband died from cancer. She had no flood insurence and has been living in Mississippi. Her son took off work and gutted some of the house, but was not able to finish it. The city threaten to take her house and was fining her since it was yet finished. So it meant a lot to them for these wonderful Georgians came and got the job done. It was meaningful that Faye's family worked along side the team gutting the house. It was all special.

Yep... more trailer problems :) After a full day of work, I got home to find I had a blow out, so instead of a shower and dinner, I got to rush off and buy another tire so we would be ready to gut the next morning.
A Huge Blessing!
Aaron came and stayed at my place and volunteered for a week. It was great having a helping hand and a friend in town.
I often do it alone; the loading the tools, the driving, the loading of debris in the dump-trailer, the going to the dump, the loading up the tools and the putting all the tools away once finished. And yeah, someone being with me keeps me in a good mood while driving the dump-trailer and makes all the other jobs go so much quicker, so yes, I counted my many blessings. So yeah, Aaron, thanks for coming! :)
